I’m hoping to send my wife, as a gift, to Paris for an intensive Cake/Pastry School where she can hone her craft. I’m having trouble finding 1-2 week programs taught in english, any suggestions? Thanks!

The schools are French; if you’re going to France, please learn the language. No schools in France allows foreign tourists to take a 1 or 2 week course. Some schools are private and the courses run for several years. There is no such thing as a pastry course that runs for a week. It takes several years before you can complete a pastry course.

I thought the Cordon Blue had a short program, but don’t recall if it was in patisserie.
Have you considered The Culinary Institute of America in either Hyde Park NY or CA
How about Johnson and Whales?
There are also TONS of great programs in NYC including The French Culinary Institute.
France is GREAT and she would have a great time, but I fear that going all that way may be somewhat lost in that she may not have the time to tour and enjoy the city.
I’m jealous of your wife – this is a reReillynice gift.

More than likely it will be in french. But for international student / It might just be in English, but it does not matter since the technic is important not the language.
